Ice Storm

Our new Neighborhood
Association proved its value during this disaster. As
you may know, the city was initially telling residents
that Bixby would not be providing pickup of residential
storm debris. John Kennington contacted the city to
complain about this, since most other smaller
communities had already announced they would provide
this service. We also emailed Southwood residents (at
least those we have emails for -

Email List!) asking them to contact the city.
The City Council did
hold several emergency meetings, approving the policy outlined above. The city was working on
this, but failed to communicate it to the residents. If
you called city hall we were being told the city would
definitely NOT be providing this service.
