Latest Update From City on Debris Removal

During a special meeting the Bixby City Council approved a fifteen day extension for the use of the Bixby Timber Debris Disposal Site through February 24th for Tulsa County crews, Bixby residents, Bixby Public Works Utility customers, and residents within the Bixby fence line.

Tulsa County crews are making headway in the removal of tree debris from right-of-ways and arterial streets in Bixby and this fifteen day extension was approved due to the volume of debris projected.

TULSA COUNTY CREWS WILL BE MAKING ONE PASS ONLY THROUGH YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD!

IF YOU ARE MISSED YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS INDIVIDUALLY, OR BY CONTRACTOR, TO HAVE YOUR DEBRIS REMOVED TO THE DISPOSAL SITE.

Please be prepared and have tree debris curb side, maximum ten (10) feet in length, away from mailboxes, gas meters, etc., and not blocked by parked vehicles. All debris shall not obstruct traffic or vehicle sight lines. Entrance or operations on private property or driveways will not be undertaken by County staff.

The Bixby Timber Disposal Site is now open seven days a week from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm through February 24, 2008.

For those Bixby residents wishing to dispose of their own debris a Tree Debris Site Access Card is available at City Hall and at the disposal site. Proof of residence such as a Bixby utility bill or drivers license will be needed. Cards are free and each card will allow four punches per card for access to the site. Each punch will allow one trip/load. Cards must be presented to the attendant at the gate to enter. Name, address, phone number will be required on the back of the card. Additional cards may be made available by the City of Bixby on a case by case basis. Contractors with Tree Debris Site Access Cards issued to and signed by the Bixby resident issued the card will be allowed to use the site.

ACCESS WILL BE DENIED TO ANYTHING ADDED TO LOAD OTHER THAN TIMBER AND TREE DEBRIS!
